In first year pupils learn to

• log onto networks
• use computing terms
• navigate networks and manage their own storage
• use different operating systems
• how to stay safe on-line
• how to create simple animations using vector graphics
• how to assess hardware and software requirements
• design bitmap graphics,
• design and implement web pages using HTML
• program simple games using Scratch.

They will develop their problem-solving skills and computational thinking.
